Our Veterans Service Training Program (Without Pup) is built for veterans who already have a dog and are seeking to develop that dog into a reliable, task-oriented service companion. This program is designed with purpose—to provide structure, stability, and real-world functionality for those navigating PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other service-related challenges.

At K9 Operations, this is more than training—it’s a mission. We focus on building a dog that can operate with clarity and consistency in high-stress and everyday environments, while also strengthening the bond between handler and dog through trust, communication, and accountability.

Every dog is evaluated individually to determine suitability for service work. From there, we implement a structured training system tailored to both the dog and the veteran’s specific needs. This includes foundational obedience, public access behavior, and the introduction of task-based work designed to support the handler in daily life.

This program focuses on:
Advanced obedience and off-leash reliability
Public access training (neutrality in stores, crowds, and high-traffic environments)
Task training (customized to the veteran’s needs, such as grounding, interruption behaviors, or spatial awareness)
Emotional stability and environmental confidence
Handler-dog communication and structured engagement
Real-world scenario training to ensure reliability outside controlled environments

We don’t just train the dog—we work directly with the veteran to ensure full understanding of handling, command structure, and continued development. This creates long-term success and independence, not dependency on a trainer.

E-Collar (remote training collar for advanced communication and off-leash reliability)
Prong Collar (used for clear, structured leash communication)
Short Leash (for close control and precision handling)
6-Foot Leash (for standard obedience and controlled movement)
Training Vest – Optional (for working identification and structure)
Moral Patches (to reinforce working status and handler intent)
Dog Trauma Kit (basic emergency preparedness for field or travel situations)
Dog Go Bag (prepped with essential gear for training and daily readiness)
12–24 Day Structured Training Program (focused, hands-on development to build obedience, structure, and real-world reliability)
